Tex-Petro Services was formed in 2007 to fill a need for dependable consultants with a proven work history that could meet the stringent requirements of some of the largest and most active operators in the oil field. Since that time the company has developed a working relationship with some of the most active operators in the most prolific oil fields of North American and the Middle East.

Principals and founders of the company are third and fourth generations of a pioneer oil industry family with a history dating back to the early 1900's.

Managing Director, John Barnwell, has over 40 years of diverse oil field experience in the upstream side of the business having planned, drilled, completed, operated, and performed workovers on several thousand wells.

Manager of Operations, Joe Barnwell, has 18 years of similar experience with most of that experience having been in the shale plays, namely the Barnett, Fayetteville, Permian, Tuscaloosa Marine, and Haynesville.
